An antique original 1870 hand coloured print.
Prints of this age were printed in black ink and then a team of artists would hand colour each print to match the natural colours of the bird.
Francis Orpen Morris (25 March 1810 – 10 February 1893) was an Irish clergyman, notable as an ornithologist and entomologist and as the author of many books on natural history.
All our antique and vintage prints are framed in house using solid wood frames and archival grade methods.
