An antique original 1799 hand coloured print
Prints of this age were printed in black ink and then a team of artists would hand colour each print to match the natural colours of the bird.
George Edwards was an English naturalist and ornithologist, known as the "Father of British ornithology". Edwards was born at Stratford, Essex.
All our antique and vintage prints are framed in house using solid wood frames and archival grade methods.
Archival grade means that everything this antique print is touching is acid free and PH neutral which means the print is chemically stable and preserved for generations to come.
If you would like this print in an alternate frame please contact us.
