An antique original 1799 hand coloured print depicting Cushion Aloe
Common yellow jasmine, Jasminum fruticans, is a small semi-evergreen shrub with yellow, slightly fragrant flowers that appear in summer and early autumn. The flowers are followed by glossy black berries that remain on the plant from autumn and through winter.
Prints of this age were printed in black ink and then a team of artists would hand colour each print to match the natural colours of the plant.
